This was my second stay in Shanghai with LTL. I looked at many schools but in the end the location and flexibility made me decide on LTL. I enjoyed it the first time, so I decided to come back again this summer.

First time arriving in Shanghai I was a little anxious but it all went fine, this time I was much more confident and I had no anxiety at all.

I was looking forward to come back.

Last year I stayed at a crazy good homestay, right around the Bund. This year I wanted more freedom and to be more independent so I opted for a large room shared apartment. I was a nice, large, bright room.

There was air conditioning in all of the rooms which was nice as it was a very hot summer. The area around was nice as well, lots of shops and restaurants.

Classes and teachers were both good, different subjects with different teachers, speaking and writing. Personally I enjoyed speaking more than writing.

The group class was challenging, but in a good way. The people in my class were slightly higher level than me so that pushed me to do better.

We were five people in my group which I found perfect I like learning in a group.

I loved Shanghai, and the social events arranged by the school.

Despite the distances being larger than what I’m used from Copenhagen, it’s still convenient to get around, and the shopping, dining and nightlife are great here.

Obviously the classes and teachers were great, but the social activities also played a large part in me coming back this year.

I came to LTL Shanghai to study Chinese in small group and individual classes. I found LTL via Google and their location and quality of lesson drew me to them ahead of other schools.

The course curriculum was very good. Even though I sometimes missed a lesson I could still jump into the rest of my class no problem, providing I caught up with the work of course.

My 1-on-1 lessons were very good but also very tiring mixed with the group classes.

The general working environment at LTL was absolutely fine.

It was easy to integrate and settle into your time in China.

I will be continuing my Chinese studies and would love to come back to LTL Shanghai in the future. Thanks for everything.

Before starting my Skype lessons, I thought online classes might not offer the same learning experience, but I was pleasantly surprised!

The sound quality is great and you can share your desktop with your teacher. For me there is no difference between face-to-face and Skype lessons.

Since I travel a lot, that’s a big advantage to me.
