The LTL Community

At LTL we pride ourselves on the sense of community among students and staff at the school. There are new arrivals almost every week of the year, so it’s important for us that there’s a strong support network, especially for those new to the city.

Of course, your Student Advisor can be relied upon throughout your time in Shanghai, both for queries about your chosen program and accommodation and more general support.

  • Meet students from around the world
  • New social calendar each week of the year
  • Regular social dinners and karaoke nights
  • Weekend day trips to local attractions
  • Dedicated Student Advisor for support
  • Active online community

Ask them about the best breakfast near to the school, the most useful phone apps for learning to write Chinese characters, or how to manage cultural differences in your homestay.

Your fellow students will also play a huge part in your LTL experience. Having come from all over the world, with a diverse range of backgrounds, students and interns at our school have at least one thing in common – an interest in exploring what Shanghai has to offer.

For that reason, we organise a diverse calendar of social and cultural activities at locations around the city.

Students and staff get together throughout the week to share lunch from a local specialty restaurant, go for a few drinks after class, or spend a Saturday exploring sights in and around the city.

Outings range from climbing the famous Oriental Pearl Tower to visiting lesser-known cities close to Shanghai. There is no extra charge for the organisation of these activities – you just pay for your own personal expenses on the day.

  • Once you have WeChat, scan this QR code to message the Shanghai Student Advisor directly, and if you like, you’ll be added to the current Shanghai students’ chat group:
